May Day Bank Holiday - Southampton

By fluke Kyle was in London on his way to living in Ireland for a weekend and that we had a bank holiday. So Philip, Kyle and myself headed down to Southampton for the weekend. The first day we wandered around Southampton, discovered they had a mini festival on so watched some of that and explored the township.

The second day we took the Ferry across to the Isle of Wight. I could've easily spent a whole weekend there alone! Unfortunately because it was Sunday the buses didn't run very frequently so we couldn't cover much ground. We stopped in for a Sunday pub roast and then visited Queen Victorias holiday home, very grand! Then we caught a bus to the otherside of the island to the 'needles' these tall pillars of rock in the ocean.

The last day we caught the ferry across to a place I can't remember the name of! We found a farmers markets and wandered around . Then it was back on the train to London again!
